Since ESSEC’s MSc in Management (MiM) program was launched in September 2016 in its Asia-Pacific campus in Singapore, 75 students from 11 nationalities (including France, Italy, Spain, Singapore, China and India) have undergone the Junior Consultant Experience (JCE) component, in which they served as business consultants to both corporate and social entities starting from Day One of the program.

Ranked #1 in Asia and #5 worldwide for best Masters in Management by the Financial Times in 2017, MiM is a fully customised, bi-campus (France and Singapore) program that equips students with global management skills. The JCE was initiated by Professor Xavier Pavie, Associate Academic Director of MiM, for students who begin the programme at the Asia-Pacific campus in Singapore. The objective was to provide a new way of learning management principles and concepts as they work on real cases to present recommendations to businesses.

“This learning-by-doing pedagogical approach puts students in practical situations where they learn from experience. In the process, they bridge theory and practice through consulting experiences unique to this region,” says Professor Pavie.
