Combining Leadership in Theory and Leadership in Practice, our ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA aims to provide participants with a greater understanding of themselves, their values and their skill set in order to become a more effective leader.

The Leadership Seminar

The 3-day Leadership Seminar is the opportunity for participants to put into practice their team-leadership skills, through a series of miltary-led group exercises and challenges.

 

A Leadership Certificate

On top of the Executive MBA degree, participants have the option to earn a Leadership Certificate based on several in-program criteria.

Participants directly apply the knowledge they have acquired during the program to a Strategic Project, a value-creating group response to a real business issue faced by a company today.

 

The project lasts a total of 15 months and includes workshops and seminars on financing, communication and business planning. The end goal is the implementation of the project by the chosen company or the creation of a company based on the suggested business plan.

The Social Class Project (SCP) is a key feature of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA that aims to incorporate Social Responsibility directly into the curriculum. It is designed to contribute to the betterment of society, to foster teamwork and to strengthen class spirit. The ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree*

  • At least eight years of work experience, including 5 years of management experience

  • Experience in an international work environment

  • Advanced English level (English test or proof of academic degree obtained in an English-speaking country required) 

  • The support of your employer and the permission to attend classes on workdays

  • Two reference letters (please use the following template)

  • Significant international exposure, excellent work performance and strong leadership potential

 

*For candidates holding a 3-year Bachelor's degree, a specific process of VAP (Validation of Acquired Professional and Personal knowledge) will apply

Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend an official jury in Paris, at the La Défense Campus or via video conference, during which candidates will have the chance to present themselves in person, and go deeper into their motivations for attending the program.
