Academic excellence at the heart of ESSEC

HR stategy and recruitment

Michel BARONI, Dean of Faculty
“A world school with French roots, ESSEC recruits professors trained at the most prestigious international institutions, ready to commit themselves fully to the various dimensions of their profession and to accompany the school in its opening to the world. Our Professors - nearly 50% international - are recognized for the excellence of their academic research, their innovative teaching methods and their commitment to companies and organizations. In a world undergoing profound change, the notion of impact is becoming essential : societal responsibility, entrepreneurial innovation and the data revolution are all major axes of the school’s strategy. The academic excellence of our Faculty expresses itself and federates through these 3 pillars.”

HR Strategy and recruitment

HRS4R Process

In 2021, ESSEC has decided to initiate a quality process in Human Resources for its research community.
ESSEC was awarded the "HR Excellence in Research" label on February 2, 2023. Thus, the school joins a community of more than 700 research organizations, including 59 in France, and becomes the first French management school to receive this label.

The “HR Excellence in Research” label is awarded by the European Commission to research institutions committed to continuous improvement of their HR strategy for researchers in accordance with the 40 principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

The awarding of this label this label confirms ESSEC's positioning and attractiveness on a European scale. The school is committed to excellence and continuous improvement process, placing researchers at the center of its human resources policy.
