My research projects explore how people perceive and interpret networking behaviors. Here are some questions I'm currently investigating:
- Why do people dislike networking, and what can help them overcome this aversion?
- Why are women less rewarded for their networking efforts than men?
- What are the antecedents (in terms of motivation) and the consequences (in terms of network position) of different networking actions?
- Which implicit theories guide people's networking strategies?
